I am an emerging photographic artist living in England, UK.
My work has been featured in several international publications and shown in group exhibitions in the UK (London and Glasgow) and in the USA (New York and Vermont). It will be exhibited in London, Tokyo and Paris in the autumn.
I
find meaning and beauty in the human and non-human forms of the natural and
man-made world around me that seem to hold something deeper - the hidden ‘jewels’,
overlooked by most. Whether in quiet places or in the chaos of the city, I am
immersed in an intimate relationship, through the camera, between my inner and
outer world. Whilst my work is profoundly personal and holds up a mirror to
parts of myself, it also bears witness to something greater. It is a search for
‘essence’ - for that which lies beyond the surface, for the light beyond the
light. In this sense, my creative expression is both personal and transpersonal
– a bridge between human and divine, heaven and earth. Ultimately, it is an act
of love.
My hope is to create images that are authentically my own, whilst also being an open doorway through which the viewer can pass into their own experience - to be connected to what is within them and what is beyond themselves and everything.
My images can found on Instagram @sarahheartsoul and I would love to meet you there!
“Sarah’s imagery holds a very deep and personal resonance – snippets in time that speak to your soul. They are not just images, but windows into a deeper world that Sarah is connected to. Minimal forms are transformed into symbols of the soul. Sarah is a visual artist with a rare and inspiring vision.”
